It's not that big. It's just a bit wider and taller than the HTC Dream/G1, but a lot thinner.

It fits in my jean pockets just fine and they're not baggy or carpenter style. Maybe if you have really skinny jeans or tiny pockets..

Yeah, there's a reason why it sold out in-store within a couple hours.

The thinness counteracts it, though. My HD2 replaced a slide-out feature phone and, honestly, the HD2 feels nicer in my pocket than the old dumb-phone.

I wish this phone had a real keyboard. My hand is too large for the on-screen ones.

HTC knows how to make onscreen keyboards very well. Almost as good as the iPhone one.

Agreed. As much as I like to bash on the iphone, its keyboard it very nice. I am using the HTC keyboard currently and love it. Even when I do mash buttons, it self corrects. With a lil practice, I only type about half of most words and it autocompletes them for me.

But the sausage finger problem has plagued cell phone users from day one. They make bluetooth keyboards if its that much of an issue for you.

I find it fits in my pocket a lot better than my Droid ever did, because its so much thinner.

Then again, I used to carry around a Nokia N95...that bad boy was a mini-brick of portable power!!

I sometimes miss the N95. I've yet to have a phone with a camera that even came close. And the dual slider action was just cool!

i haven't seen in person but really like all i've read.

i'm currently using the 3gs 16Gb iPhone(which i love) - i use it 75% for podcasts/music, 15% for calls, 10% internet browsing.

I was wondering if it would be a good fit. I'd probably buy one, then sell my iphone to help offset the costs.

I've seen a few for sale locally on Craigslist, but is there a good reputable place to buy unlocked online?

I would say NO.
I love my HD2 but the music app for it is very lacking.
No where close to the Iphone.
Of course I'm using the Sense music player that came with it.
The problem I have is it loads up the music database very slow and it get stuck alot so I would have to reset it.

Having have this for 2 weeks now, I love it but I can see why alot of people would not like it.
The whole problem is Window mobile.
HTC have done a great job covering it up but the simplicity of it is no where near the iPhone.
Its great for nerds like me who wants to customize the crap out of their phone but for everyone else, they might not like it.
Its bsically like a small computer and it takes work to get it working to how you like it.
I'm keeping mine until the EVO comes out.
I have a feeling that running Android will make this phone fly..
