with one foot missing. It as hopping along the sidewalk and everytime it would get tired, it would rest and pull up the injured leg into it's body. It was so sad to see...it had NO foot! but somehow it adapted to its injury and was hopping along like all the other pigeons. I think there are pics..but I suspect I won't be getting any of them..b/c I never do. OH well.

Kill it! G0d damned sky rats. Kill em all. I hate pigeons.

We had a pigeon flopping around our neighborhood a couple summers ago (I think my neighbor shot it with a pellet gun but only wounded it). It was starving and made its way to my entry area where my wife found it unable to move because it was so weakened. I told her to go inside that I would "take care" of it. I grabbed a shovel from the garage, whacked it a couple times and tossed it in the trash can.

It's illegal to kill pigeons...

WTF would you propose I do with a pigeon that's been flopping around my neighborhood for 2 days, is lame and is too weak to move? Try to nurse it back to health? NOT BLOODY LIKELY!!!

Pigeons are among the most annoying birds ever invented. They're right up there with those mockingbirds that decide to sing in the tree right outside your window at 4am every morning.

Hehehe, there were 4 sky rats drinking from a drain across the street from me a couple weeks ago...I noticed them as I was backing out of my garage so I backed right up to them, three of them flew away but one had its entire body jammed into this little hole drinking the water so I opened my door, grabbed it by the tail and yanked it out. I held it while it flapped in my hand for a couple seconds. It was scared sh!tless. I let it go...I should have smashed it on the sidewalk. Oh well. Maybe next time.

G0d damned sky rats...

The only good pigeon is a dead pigeon.

They aren't nearly as annoying in a large park as when they are living in the eaves of your house and crapping mountains of crap on your property. Not to mention the fact that pigeon crap is toxic. They aren't crapping so much on my property now that I eliminated their nesting places on my house but they are in my neighbors eaves and all over the neighborhood.

I may have to go buy a pellet gun...Thanks for this post. It has inspired me to kill pigeons.

Pigeons are protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, which prohibits the killing of migratory birds without take permits.

Migratory Bird Act? WTF?

If any species does *not* need to be protected, it's pigeons. There are billions of them in America.

There's a useless law...
