I was on North Loop 820 in Forth Worth, traveling with a pack of cars. It was a pack of about 20 cars, and I was towards the front, so I saw it all go down. It was a yellow Maserati Spyder, and he was running out ahead of the group a little bit doing about ~150mph. He was coming up on a moderate curve in the freeway, and didn't hit the brakes as far as I could tell. I can't say what he did, but the next thing I know his rear end swings over and hits the concrete divider. He couldn't get the rear end back under control, and flew sideways off the highway and up a grass enbankment. Keep in mind he's about a quarter mile ahead of me, but I get over to stop. At the point I got out of the car, I could see flames engulfing the car. The two guys ran away from it, and the car burned to the ground.
There are tons of videos of this, as I saw several last night, hopefully some of them will surface soon.
Ooh, I saw a Quatraporte at the grocery store today, very very nice. Classy, and beautiful. I never really cared for the Spyder; they always struck me as rather plain, and not too fast. But it was a shame to watch it burn.
