I have seen a few GT's around here but I knew when I saw this one it was different from the rest.. Now I see why.. That's a lot of money for a car, but that's a lot of car..

It goes from 0-100mph in 7.7 seconds. But it runs the quarter mile in 11.7 seconds at 128mph.

so, uh, it takes a whole 4 seconds more to go 28mph faster???

Its not as quick as I thought it might be.

Most of the time it's because those cars are geared to make the 0-60 measurement barely in first gear, then require shifting. That's how they improve on fast 0-60 times. Shifting is slow.

I saw a silver Carrera GT last weekend on I90 west of Bellevue headed to Seattle. Dude was driving like a complete asshole. Speeding up and slowing down in heavy, heavy traffic just to make a shit ton of noise. He did emasculate some typically clapped out WRX wagon though. That was pretty funny.

I was at streets of willow in my old evo x (tuned to 400 hp) a couple of years of ago. The owner of stoptech was instructing that day and he would use his porsche gt as a lead car. I was doing hot laps, blowing by everything in my way when on a straight the porsche gt went by me like I was standing still. My jaw dropped...I couldn't believe I got owned so badly.

The car wasn't as dominating in the corners though.
