Walking home into my condo complex I saw a big Bald Eagle flying overhead. Must have had an 8ft wingspan easy.

Sweet.:D

See them all the time in Squamish, BC Canada, thats one of the biggest habitats in the world. You can actually see them close up catching salmon.

I saw one at eye level one day when I was going fishing. It was about 20 feet away. I was on top of a cliff and he was in a tall tree about 70 feet off the ground.
He just eyeballed me for awhile. He then hopped around on the branch, spread his wings and glided off the branch down into the valley where the creek was.
I was left with my mouth hanging open.
The one thing that stood out was that he was absolutely silent. Amazing for such a big animal.

Boston suburbs. See a few every now and then, although over the last few years the sightings are more frequent. Quite possibly the same nesting pair returning.

They are making a comeback. Have they been taken off the endangered species list yet?

They are common in the Pacific Northwest. I have shared a few thermals with them.

They are still endangered.

We have one pair nesting north of here...one pair nesting east of here and like 2-3 pairs nesting south of here. Like 3 years ago there was one pair.

I *heart* birds!

I have seen as many at 7 of them all in flight at one time as I drove along the river here in Kansas. They live right here on the Army base I work at. Amazing sight to see in person, especially as many as I saw that one day in about a 3-mile stretch of road.
