Oh my God guys, this thing is AMAZING. I knew I wanted one, but now I just can't help myself from thinking about it all day. My friend dropped me off in his brand new vette and showed me his bag of tricks. This car can handle corners like no ones business. I was sure we were going to crash into a parked car when he took a turn at over 60 miles per hour, but nope, it just stuck on the road like super glue with no sliding at all. I'm going to take a video camera and record the experience and share it with you all. Any comments on this machine?

Haha, Vettes rock, espically the Z06. Nothing beats it in its price range. Provides best bang for buck in its class, and its the affordable super car. I honestly can't wait for the next generation z06 to appear, considering the stock model already has 400hp, z06 may be bumped up to 450-500!

Z06: 405 hp, handles like a dream, and has a TON of potential.

I was the owner of a 98 Z28 with the SS package and modified exhaust, with a very good modded tranny but still...that's nothing compared to this beast! My Z28 was pretty bad ass, give the other vettes and firebirds a run for their money, but this Z06 car is a totally different animal lol, no comparison. Why ANYONE would buy a viper instead of this is a mystery to me...maybe they don't know better or just like how it looks? I totally agree it rocks everything in it's price range unless you guys have another bag of tricks.

PS: Check out the Linfinguer (or however you spell it) deal in the Hot Deals thread. It's another $48,000 (which is almost another vette) but for some of you rich speed freaks it might be worth it.

So what made you get the Millenium yellow one? It's about $750 more expensive! Have you had similar experiences with your vette?

its an incredible color in person and it suits the vette very well. gets alot of attention too. so far ive been too scared to do what your friend has done. the times ive opened her up (never with TC set to competition mode), i didnt have traction until 3rd gear. hopefully with the weather getting better the car will really shine.

Vipers win out because they look worlds better than a vette and IMO dont have the tag many people put on vettes (white trashy). The fatty butt of the vette just doesnt look good...the 97 grand sport vette was the last attractive aggressive, SLIM vette made... Since then they just bore you from the outside REGARDLESS of the performace its just like looking at a taurus its so mundane.
