Then I blame shoddy advertising and preview tactics. Who are you to say what a movie is about and what I should assume it's about? It has Robot in the title so I hate it already. If you don't think I should be able to express my preconceptions of a movie then you're missing half of what off-topic message boards are about. This thread wasn't started for the book, or the reviews it has, so don't bring that nonsense up to have a point. There are probably thousands of movies you've hated that you've never read the book to or were even aware of it having a book. I don't need to read paper to hate a movie, I don't need to eat an apple to hate an orange.
Preconceptions are what get people into trouble. Instead of assuming stuff, you could care to educate yourself before speaking like the biggest idiot in the world. You only make yourself look stupid when you go "Farenheit 9/11 is total dogsh!t" when you've never seen it, and again when you think "I, Robot is OMGBBQ YOUR BASE BELONGS TO US HUMANS". (In regards to F 9/11 - I only saw it b/c my cousin made me - I think it's all propoganda bs and regret wasting my money seeing it, but at least I can say it's total sh!t b/c I know it is)
First, I'll apologize for straying the topic a little off-course.
Second, I'll have you know (but you should've already caught-on) that when I was speaking of robot movies, I was speaking of them in general. I didn't say "I, Robot is..." anything (besides lame, but again, that's vague and underdeveloped, something I feel I'm well-suited to say from seeing the preview 20 times).
Would it make you happier if I stated "The preview for I, Robot is lame"? How about I go ahead and make the whole word entirely politcally, grammatically and ethically correct?
Again, apologizes for upsetting the topic with insignificant observations.
