I rma'd a video card to gigabyte about two weeks ago, but havent' had a confirmation of receipt.

Most places send you an email when they get whatever you rma'd. If you've dealt with gigabyte before, did they let you know when they got it?

Not all place work the same. I RMA'ed an Asus motherboard a month ago, and didn't get an e-mail until they checked it and shipped a replacement to me....

Ain't that the truth.

Logitech sent me an RMA confirmation (that they had received my broken keyboard/mouse) two days after I had already received the replacement.

i got the same thing with leadtek...only means of communication that they received it was email. then they took "off" for a week or two because of chinese new year (2 months ago and i received my rma'ed card 2 weeks ago).

just be hopeful and persistent.

From what Ive heard a gigabyte rma takes like 2 months. That doesn't bode well for me, since I just RMAed a video card last week. That and its an older one (x800xl), so I'm guessing it'll take them a while.

i only sent in a 6600, non-gt, so shipping it without delivery confirmation and tracking is fine. usps tracking is useless anyway

The DC is more to confirm and prove that they actually received it. They could very easily say they never got it in the mail, even though they did.

On another note, I emailed them, and they said the process usually takes three weeks, so factoring in shipping, the whole process takes a month.
