we used to pay $6-10 in my day, and some pretty damn good bands too

there's many shows that are still that good AND that cheap (well maybe not $2.50 but... still < $20)
Sadly people are willing to pay $50+ for a show nowadays. Me? I refuse anything about $20 (unless the Police come around to my city, then I'll pay any price). I can then see the bands in an intimate setting, n oover done pyro-technics stage show to distract you from the fact that the band you're seeing isn't REALLY that good. Just good, honest rock/music in a close atmosphere.

lol..I saw the Police at Hollender Stadium (now torn down) back in 1983 for $10 ;)

$5-$10 was the norm in the mid 70s, sometimes you'd see $15.

I think the most I paid was for either the Rolling Stones at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse or the Who/Clash at the Rich Stadium in Buffalo.

$20-25 iirc
