First experience was at Purdue University Northwest, in a Fortran class, where we could access the main Purdue computer down in Lafayette, Indiana, and send e-mail to anyone at Purdue. That was 1979, and yes, we were programming on punchcards.......I feel really old and tired after reading some of these....
