WinMe sucks. Win98 is better for the 9x series, Win2k whoops up on both of em.

winme is great in my opinion...but only for gaming.
pros:
- it boots super super fast (15 second boot).
- it doesn't crash.
- games are amazing on winme.

cons:
- i don't feel confident enough about its stability to do real work on it.
- insecure
- memory management when working with graphics is terrible.

win2k sucks for gaming (keep in mind that i am referring to my computer)
pros:
- stable like a rock. this baby can go months without restarting.
- stable like a goddamn rock i tell you.
- secure (both the OS and the NT file system)
- good memory management

cons:
- slow slow slow boot time
- games are terrible on win2k
- drivers can be a pain at times (specifically for my via-based kt7-raid)

What I find so amazing is that I don't think I've ever crashed WinME ... and I was a beta tester! It just won't boot when I don't have both my monitors on. :(

Sadly, Win2K has been crashing much more recently due to TV card drivers and such.

Oh the horror, why would you go and do such a thing:confused:. WinME is suck, you should either stick with Win98 or install Win2K.

IMO Win2K is the best. I've never had any problems with it. I haven't had to reboot for about a month:)

15 sec boot time on ME is way cool!!

My win2k has crashed more times on install than my 98 ever did. Though once its running its great. If you got old hardware+win2k just kill yourself. (or buy better parts)
