I really want to build this.

While I will not be building a new rig for a long time, I'm keeping my hand in the game by playing around with pcpartpicker.com to come with example builds.

So this what I came up this time:

Now if Corsair offered the 200R in Silent format I would get that.

Dave has a point. And honestly, do you need 4 TB of SSD? I would spend more on the video card and get a 1080Ti if possible for that money. How about, a 960Pro 512GB for boot and the Micron 1100 2TB for additional storage?

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/wZDb8Y Add around $300 for the Micron 1100, it was not found on PC partpicker.

I'm curious if anyone has tested Fuzedrive? A 256/512gb Nvme with a an old platter HD might be plenty fast for most Users.

Well I have a Dell 30" 2560x1600p display and thanks for mentioning the Micro 1100. I forgotten about that.

Until you fire up some 75GB game that isn't cached on the SSD - which is pretty much all OP cares about, judging by the benchmarks he posts when he tries to assert that a large enough stripe of HDDs is "good enough" vs. an SSD. (I don't mean that as a knock, just that it seems important to him.)

Ahhh, I never said that HDDs in RAID is "good enough" vs SSDs. I have two Crucial 1TB M500 SSDs and I will never go back to HDDs by choice.

Well I would change the SDDs over two 2TB Micro 1100 SSDs. The GTX 1070 is just a place holder for for the GTX 1170.
