Everything post 2000 makes me fucking sick. I remember when we used to go outside to see how our neighbors were doing.

I remember when the kids (me) used to go out and play night games.

I remember when if you wanted to know someones relationship status you used to grow some balls and ask them.

I remember when you wanted to know your dealer's stockpile status you would bike a few miles to find out.

I remember when a single titty was jack-worthy material, nowdays I need some hardcore shit to even phase me.

I remember when an entire Saturday was exploring the world, now it has become "explore 3% of a virtual world".

I'm starting to hate the future.

Ah, Mongrel, always a trusted friend in my posts. I'm just glad you see me brother. Sometimes it's like being a ghost online, you don't know if people see you or not. Maybe you're transparent.

But you see me. You see me pretty good. I hope you are having a good night.

I remember when Jesus and I used to ride and race on raptors.

Now he's too busy with his new fangled mower and his landscaping service.

I miss the early internet days. I honestly tear up sometimes, going on long archive.org marathons of my favorite childhood fansites and forums and such, remembering bits and pieces but constantly confronted with unsaved images or pages, enough to touch on the past but not relive it. I found some printed out pages of various online walkthroughs from the late 90s and early 2000s, places I'd never be able to access trying to just navigate through fan portals, but still preserved to some extent. Then I look up that Andy kid who wrote a guide for catching Pikablu in Pokemon Red/Blue and realize he's now in his mid 30s with a LinkedIn profile.

Damn, that looks like Bill.

He was one of the coolest cats I ever had.

He was really old in this one, the ladies loved him.

I miss Bill cat, I cried a lot the day he had to go. A lot.

He used to be all black, he got old enough he had a lot of grey. Was 18.

He slept with me every night through my first divorce.

I do not. If i had internet as a kid as is available today to kids, i could have learned about electronics and programming a lot faster. Learned mathematics faster, physics faster. Easier in school, More degrees in education. Higher paycheck.

Kids today have it easy. If you do not know something, you can go read about form various sources of information on the internet. You have to check if your sources are credible, but that is no different from buying a physical book and verify that it is credible.

Numerous times i had to go to the library only to find out that the book i wanted was lend out and not returned. It was overdue.
When i put all my savings together for to buy a book, it was not available or i found out that the book cost twice as much as i had saved. :|:\:(:'(

If i see what they can do today. Just look at all the math solutions combined with programming. I am nowhere near that. I see at work, when we have interns, i sometimes feel dumb. I am pretty good at steering interns in the right direction to solve a problem, but they have to do the math and convert the math to a programmed algorithm to end up with a program that actually works.

Shit...before the Internet I was trying to find Carmen Sandiego, getting killed in Oregon Trail, making some awesome mazes in Lode Runner and trying to hack into the Admin. account at school in the At Ease Macintosh system. I never had Internet at home until 2003! Before that I would use the library and my friend. LOL I look back now and I have learned a crap ton. All from this, the Internet. It all depends on how you use it I guess. You can be a social networking whore, or you can use it to learn new things, etc.

But lets look at the facts. Every time I do go outside I see people's face in their damn smartphone. I often wonder what's so damn important that as soon as they get out of their car the phone is in front of their face.

Wait till there are brain implants and kids do go outside to play augmented reality games. I imagine it will be like tripping balls except you will be tripping Internets.

Not only do you make valid points, but your avi photo is spot on. Rick and Morty is the #1 show on TV! Love it haha

Can't wait for the new season. My fav episodes would have to be the purge and the one where they go to chips and blips. LOL!

There isn't a bad episode. Summer drags things down a bit when they give her too much scene time though. The point and click adult swim game I played was damned funny too.

The flipside to that is the internet has a lot of disorganised rubbish which wastes your time and the tools haven't caught up fast enough to deal with it.

Nor did p0rn. Only rumored in the back of seedy dive bars and quilt stores.

If you were lucky the bushes were graced by a visit from the porn fairy.
