I really really need some help

[The Godfather]

Its 3:02 AM, and my history project is due tomorrow, i have everything done except this one little piece of ****** essay.

1 page, double spaced, no biggie but look at the assignment:

After researching the Mughal, Ming, and Russian patronage of the arts, write a proposal to one of the governments for a project you want them to fund. Explain where, why, when, how much.

What the hell do they mean by patronage of the arts? As in supporters of the arts, or fundings? Or what??

Please help me start this off.

I did that ******. I dont get what the essay wants me to write.

Yep... if this was me I would just pick the culture I know the most about and pick a time period when a rich powerful ruler was on the throne then use whatever art was his favorite.

LOL gotta wait till the last minute. I do this too, at times. I think patronage in this context.. you can just put it as they are a group of people who are artists who craft, design, draw, stuff that reflects their heritage. In modern day america, it's like artists who preserve the american culture, say, create a We love oil poster. Just make an argument on why the king should give money to the patronage of what ever the culture maybe and why it is important to preserve the culture, especially from historians perspective. Like this will be what later generation will see, will learn about their older generation, etc.
