I really, really messed up...(INK ON MOTHERBOARD)

DDDOOOOOOHHHHH!!!!!:eek::|:Q I was trying to pry this heatsink off witha pen, and the pen exploded, and there was ink on a small part of the mobo. Is it screwed or is there still a chance it might run? AND HOW DO I GET THAT HEATSINK OFF??? (socket A) Thanks for any replies/sympathy

What kind of heatsink is it?

BTW, you should only use a flathead screwdriver... Shame on you!

Try wiping the ink off with a small, damp cloth, and let dry. If it doesn't go out anyway, you could try rubbing alcohol (I don't take any responsibility), but I don't think most pen ink is conductive anyway.

Socket A, one of those TaisolCGK7492's. So a flathead scredrivcer gets those tough ones off, huh? I'll have to try that. As far as the ink goes, I think it's already dried, and it only covered a few microscopic little knobs with tiny white lettering, out of serveral thousand, so it should be alright :) ....I hope.
