Think again, Shorty. They both deal with the same subject matter, both from Kalypso, and on first glance appear similar, but the gameplay for one is more like the Anno series, and the other is more like the Tropico series. I prefer Tropico to Anno, myself.
 
I remember buying BF2 when I was younger. Took it home, installed it, found out it wasn't a SP game.

Didn't end up playing it until I got high speed internet when I went to uni.
