What's great about it: good- if you use your computer 24/7 (one time application)
What's not so great: waste of time and money if you don't use your computer 24/7 (this product is only good for a few hrs)

"i really like this product. its a good idea and i think the person whom invented it did a good thing for doing it. Great Idea and Excellent Product. One downfall is that you can only use the syringe just one time only. If you want to try and cool off your CPU often, you might want to buy more than 5 or 6 of these. Its good at a library when you are confined in small places and its good if you have to keep the computer on your lap for several hours such as on an airplane or something like that. Its also good if you are a passenger in a vehicle with someone else and you are dependant on your computer for all of your needs and also its very good if you are going to have your computer on for a long period of time or for several hours at a time. It cools off the computer CPU but not for very long. It only lasts for a few hours and then it fades away. This product is similar to just sticking your computer into the freezer for a while just to cool it off. LOL! A good investment for someone who uses their computer 24/7 but if its only just for about 3 to 4 hours a day, i would suggest just turning off your computer when you are finished using it and letting it cool off for a while before turning it back on. Other than those who use their computer less than 8 hrs a day, this is a good idea. I would definitely recommend this product."
 
I'm going to assume that the guy actually meant something very different and this actually is an Engrish issue (even if it seems unlikely), because I just don't want to imagine what he was trying to do with the paste otherwise... Ok, I'm already imagining the guy pouring the paste over and over on the CPU while using his mouth to blow the hot air away while holding the mobo on his lap.

I thought about this, but he uses the term "Syringe," so...
 
Clearly he's using it instead of LN2 in an extreme cooling setup.

That, or some epic trolling in progress.
 
Maybe he's taking a laptop, smearing this on the chassis (some people call the part of the computer with the internals "the CPU", whereas you or I would call it the tower, the case, the computer, etc.), and expecting that to reduce the overall temps of the system? It seems pretty messy, but I can't imagine how he's doing this otherwise.

Other than that, maybe he has some kind of SFF portable with no heatsink (Atom?) that he smears this stuff on, uses for a while with no heatsink, and then replaces when it overheats? I don't know... it just doesn't make any sense.

Perhaps he's been using the syringe to fill his PB&J sammiches too, and that explains the confusing post.

Well, hmm. Obviously this isn't the recommended way of doing it, but that should still work. You can place a pci-e card in a smaller physical slot and it will function at the lowest common speed between card and slot. If necessary, he should have made a neat cut along the back of the pci slot itself, as some connectors don't have the back open.

At first, I thought he probably shorted some pins and/or cut traces in the hack job to the card. But it gets better. A Dell Dimension 2350 doesn't have a pci-e slot. It has a standard PCI slot.

you do realize he cut a PCI-Express graphics card so it would fit in a PCI slot right? the 2 have completely different pinouts and signaling lol. he in no way cut it so it would fit into a smaller PCI-e slot hehe

lol! You wonder if anyone ever heard of research before using products. I mean, even if I think I know about something I still do my research. Funny stuff
 
Apparently, when AGP was more common many users managed to install PCIe cards into AGP slots.

Being weak, flabby computer types on average we tend to forget just how STRONG some users can be. We sometimes tend to underestimate their familiarity with carpentry tools and willingness to use them.
 
I think he's found more than one way to apply this product...new advertisement: Arctic Silver 5, if it can cool your computer, it can cool your coffee. One syringe, and you got yourself some Arctic Coffee! Apply it to your body and instantly freeze! Got a boring sex life? Get yourself to a confined space in the library and have some fun!

EDIT: I think he's found freezer in a syringe. He should market that.

Yes, I figured it out by the end of my post. It wasn't immediately obvious that a human could be that stupid. 😉
