I think it will be a very strong contender to the corolla, civic, and sentra. I will wait to see how reliability is first before making any more comments.

Previous Protege was a pretty good little car. Part of that drivetrain carries over and IMHO the 2.3L 4 is doing fine in the 6's so in those regards at least its looking good. Don't forget this platform is shared with the new Vovlo S40 which seems to be well-liked by the press.
