I really like CS:S Beta.

CS:S Beta is just like regular CS with the following changes:

Weapons bought come with full ammo.
Weapon prices change weekly depending on demand.

The 1st option I love. The second option is cool too, it changes the game in a way where you really have to know all the weapons' capabilities to do well. It also introduces constant change in the game so it'll be a little different every week.

I will have to give this a try tonight. This will hopefully get people to switch up weapon usage. I am already pretty good with most weapons thanks to Gun Game servers 😀

In your steam games menu, download Counter-strike: Source BETA. Then start that game. The DL is only 10MB.

How does this mesh with Source? Do you have to play on Beta servers? Will Valve integrate Beta into regular Source, so that only this new version exists?

If you install the beta, can you still play on regular server? Also, will the beta be uninstalled when regular CS adopts that pricing system?

I've been waiting for CS to fix the prices for a long time. It seemed like they were willing to change just about everything about the weapons except the price.

Right now, you execute a different executable and it only shows on servers that also have Counter-strike Beta installed.

The plan is for Valve to use this Beta to gather information for the pricing schemes of the final version, which will be an update to the regular Counter-strike: Source.

If you install Beta, and you want to play on regular servers - you can. Installing Beta only adds a new executable to your games list. You'll be able to choose between CS:S & CS:S Beta.

I don't know if the Beta will be uninstalled after Valve adopts it into CS:S. But if it isn't, you'll be able to uninstall it anyway by deleting it's local content.
