I'm writing this from the cafe car of Amtrak train 67, heading to New Jersey. Why am I on the train? Well, I was supposed to drive, but I got in my car, drove about a mile, and the entire car locked up. I began to hear a clanking noise, followed by a very loud grinding sound. My shifter popped out of gear, and when I tried to move it, it would no longer move.
Apparently, my transmission is completely gone. And the clutch may be gone. And I may have done some damage to the engine according to the tow truck driver because of how things broke.

In other news, the Stone Cellars White Wine on Amtrak is quite nice.
