I hate it too, but that girl is neither pretty nor white. At least I don't think she's white. In any case she's not pretty.
 
why even bother about one person? thousands of people die everyday and all the news can do is be concerned about one single person....:disgust:

I think that it's making bigger news because it was a fairly gruesome death with, if the local tabloids are to be believed, random thrill/serial killer tendencies. Not so much because it was "pretty white girl" media bias, especially since she's not white.

The NY Times is a tabloid? Her hair was chopped off, and her face was taped up like a mummy with packing tape. The police have divulged that much to the NY papers and beyond. Even if this was some fugly meth-head living in the streets with a shopping cart full of cats they would have to give it attention.
