I really hate UPS now.

I bought a Lowepro Computrekker AW photo/laptop bag at a good price last Sunday, knowing it would ship after the holiday on the 5th. I opted for two shipping. Here is where the corner was cut. I live in So Cal. The distribution center was in Reno, NV. Typically UPS ground from that area is 1-2 days. However it isn't guarenteed. I didn't know it was shipping ground. I would have put that in consideration, but I paid considerably more for 2 day shipping.
I needed it by the weekend. It showed the billing scan and pickup scan, but by Thursday's end, no other scans. I called UPS, and they said I could not authorize the 'trace'. Whatever the hell that means. The shipper had to. Even though it's paid in full by me.
Friday, I called Amazon and they told me I couldn't get a refund until 3 days after it was supposed to arrive.
I called UPS and had the local hub call me (the one that would dispatch the truck to my area)..and they told me sorry for the delay, it would be delivered Friday. At this point, I knew they were lying. The lady told me it did get to the hub. I needed it for the weekend. I ended buying one at a local camera store for a bit more. Now it's Monday, and it finally scanned to Sacramento, CA. ???. WTF???
I now have to call Amazon for the RMA, I better not have to pay for shipping.

Cliffs:
-Paid for two day shipping through Amazon. Deceived. It was UPS Ground, paid extra money for nothing different.
-UPS made a typical 1-2 day delivery into one full week.
-No scans until it reached Sacramento after it was supposed to be delivered.
-UPS hub lied to me, saying they had it when they didn't.
-Now have to return package.


 
I say you hate both. Amazon for charging you for two day when they actually shipped ground, and UPS for being the dirty rat bastards that they are.
