I really hate copy machines...

I have one outside my cube, for the past week, someone's been setting it up for 1000 copies at a time and walking away. The damned thing's busy for 2 hours straight. So the nice quiet peace that I usually get by coming in at 5:30AM gets ruined by the thing from 6-8. The thing sits on a tiled floor and the opening to my cube points right at it. 🙁


Anyone else have annoyances that are place conviniently in the worst place possible?

The one copy machine at my work got jammed in 7 places, including a peice of paper that got accordianed in the toner cartridge TWICE!!! MF!!!

Until recently, my speaker phone was part of the PA system. And to add insult to injury, there's a speaker above my cube that's part of the PA system. At least the speaker on the ceiling has a volume knob.

Fortunately my office is away from the other office staff. My office overlooks the production floor of our facility. When it was built, they did not insulate the walls, so the noise from all of the machinery invades my every thought. I would still prefer to hear the clanking of machinery than the office staff complaining about the coffee etc..
