I really am trying to lose weight...

I keep trying to make good on my promises to myself, but I keep messing up.

The biggest thing I need to to is take control of my eating. I'm having a tough time with this eating 6 times a day with small meals. I've gone 3 days now and I'm feeling good. I want to make it to 7. That will be my first goal.

I never finish my meal fealing satisified and I have a huge urge to eat bread and pizza and all the good stuff.

It's so hard to eat fruit and veggies and chicken and fish and drink water and take all these while not getting the really tasty things I'm used to.

For the moment, I'm ignoring the gym. I'm walking on my feet at least 2 hours a day sometimes 3, so I'm still getting SOME exercise. I'd like to move to riding the bike 2 or 3 times a day, but I'm not going to do too much and end up losing this battle again.

I'm just saying what's on my mind because I have a huge urge to go eat something right now but I know I shouldn't.

It's alot easier to lose weight if you start exercising alot because that allows you a lot more leeway in what you can eat.

Exercising is the way to go... I love to start exercising about an hour before a meal. THen I have no appetite by the normal meal time.

If you aren't feeling satisfied after a meal, eating those 6 meals a day to up your metabolism isn't actually working. I believe the whole idea is to prevent your body from ever feeling "hungry", and therefore retaining more energy in the form of fat.

Keep it up. Don't let the past few days go to waste by giving in.

Trust me, after a few days you'll get sort of addicted to exercise and eating right. You'll feel more healthy to the poing where, on the rare occasion you do have pizza, that 2 slices will be enough, and any more will feel too rich and heavy for you. It gets a lot easier.

Exercising helps cut down on cravings. Supposed to anyways. It works for me.
Another tip...splurge every once in awhile. Not HUGE but eat something you really like like once a week.

You can eat 10 times a day if you want if you're active. It's all about burning more calories than taking in.

Try working construction job or something similar for like it for a month. I guarantee you'll lose weight quick and you can eat much as you want.

You just need to get to the point where you are fed up with being fat. Cold turkey, complete lifestyle change. (I hate that term, but it's true)

I don't think that's an option for 99% of the population out there.

Besides, haven't you seen all those fat construction workers out there?

If it were easy, everyone would be able to do it. 🙂 Keep at it, set weekly goals (ie- I'm going to lose 2 pounds this week), and move at least 30 minutes a day. You'll get there.

I cut out pop and bread 2 weeks ago. I have only eaten sweets 3 times since then and I have dropped 15 pounds. You can do it man!!

Guys, I understand you are trying to help here, but most suggestions are to do a lot of cardio. You want to lose weight, do cardio. You want to burn fat, lift weights. Cardio 3x a week and lifting 4-5x a week is the way to go. For a 6'1 guy like myself, I eat about 2700 CLEAN (basically quality food-no crap) calories a day.

IMHO the best way is to find a sport or excercise that you enjoy doing and feel you can be very competitive in. Gotta love it to make it become a habit. I play tennis and soccer but eat more than 6x a day but skinny as a stick.

I cut out junk food and try to keep my calorie intake around 1600 per day, but im not 100% strict on that over the weekends. Im 6' 3" and I dont exersize much at all but ive gone from 263Ibs to 229Ibs so far since the middle of march. If you just aim to lose a pound or 2 a week its not that bad, dont try and do more than that.

bump up your calories to high 2000's. Start lifting. You don't want to end up "skinny fat".
