(although im sure many of you realized that long ago)
I grew up in jersey, so naturally, i have that jey-sey accent with a little new-yawk from my parents...
Now that i've been living in florida for 14 years, i've incorporated some phrases typical of the south, such as 'Ya'll' and 'git'.
As i saw sitting in Sonny's for lunch this afternoon, i pointed to a sign on the wall that said something about some new dishes coming soon. And i quote; (some words spelled phonetically)
"Ya'll selling that new ribs i saw on the wauulll over there?"
Ugh, i wish i didn't pick up these damn accents...
Anyone else prone to this crap? Or do you pretty much keep the accent you grew up with?
