It has been @ 2.6 volts for a few years and everything has been fine, but today i got a "special pool memory corruption error" so i bumped it up to 2.7v in hopes that it would stabilize things out.

Good move or bad move?

And i wasnt sure if this was supposed to go in mem & storage forum or here so...here it is.

thanks!

I'm hoping this is DDR and not DDR2. If it's DDR2, I think you would have killed it by now.

If it's DDR, I had some that were spec'd at 2.7v, so I wouldn't worry. Do you have an overclock on them?

Nope, no OC, and yup, DDR. :D

Old timer :(

I don't even think its worth the OC...i tried and it was a pita, and i'll build a new one soonish. The RAM just sucks for OCing.
