I put my first DVD into my laptop and I was asked if I want to install "InterActual Player"...what is that?

As you can read, I have never played a DVD in a computer or even in a DVD player.

Is this InterActual software on the DVD that I just inserted?

How would this be installed if I was trying to play the DVD in a DVD player--how would the software install on a DVD player...or would it?

A software package that decodes DVDs. Many DVDs now ship with that program. DVD players (stand alone) have built in decoders, while DVD-Rom drives need either a software or hardware decoder.

My laptop has WinDVD installed. So the InterActual Player is the same type of thing? The InterActual license says it will give me "access to additional features and content on the disc". Will WinDVD give me access to that stuff too?

Same thing. They are both software decoders. Additional features are crap like online nonsense.
