$2K for a 97?

Is this some kind of a joke? Depending on condition that is a $5-8k car here in California.

$3-4K in Cali. For $8K you can get a decent 2nd gen.

My dad bought his 1992 "MA" Miata in 2000 with 15K miles on it, in like-new condition. He paid $7,500 for it.

It's suffered a few dents since 2000 and now has some 65K miles on the ODO.

Raise the price. But if you want to sell it at $2k I'll take it!

I got more responses on my '03 Accord from Craigslist than Autotrader. The guy who bought it saw it on CL. I wasted $40 on autotrader LOL.

Yup, someone flagged it as a scam because the price was so low. Good luck selling it.

I have a love/hate relationship with CL. It's pretty good for the buyer but a PITA for the seller. My ads keep getting flagged ... and the ones that don't hardly ever get any responses. Oh well, at least it's free.

I've spent nearly $10K on CL inthe last three (3) years for a car, cell phone and Macbook.

I'm sure you could have gotten 4 grand for your car.

That's yours? I'm looking for a miata sometime next week and I was looking at that, I'd jump on that deal if you were... oh 1000 miles closer. This is one aftermarket body kit that doesn't look overly agressive, just sort of modernizes the NA Miata style. Reminds me of the Mazdaspeed Miata.

well the OP got the price he wanted and the buyer got a good deal.

while he may have been able to squeeze a couple more grand out of it, he'd then be dealing with alot of negotiations and test drives more than likely.

I have usually sold my cars below market value just for a quick and easy sale as well as no post sale hassle.

I think that the miata would be a quick sale barring an excessively high price. It's not like he's trying to sell a buick in california.
