So I decided to pick up a Crimson/Black Nintendo DS. The games I bought when I got the DS are....

Legend Of Zelda Phantom Hourglass
Super Mario Bros 64
The New Super Mario Brothers
Animal Crossing Wild World
Brain Age

Did I pick good games so far ?

However, other than Zelda, what other good RPG's are there for this ? I know there are some Final Fantasy games.....But I cannot decide which one to go with. Any suggestions ?

Here are some other questions as well....

Exactly how does the online mp work ? And what is required to use it ?
Can this be used with the Wii ?

Any info on my couple of questions will be greatly appreciated :)

Do you like tactical RPGs? There's Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, two Fire Emblem games for the GBA. And there's the Advance Wars series which is light on the RPG elements but heavy on the awesome.

Well, I do like tactical style gameplay. So out of this list here, what would be the best two ?

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates
Final Fantasy IV Advance
Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance

You could wait for the DS remake of Final Fantasy IV to come out in the US. I haven't played Revenant Wings or Crystal Chronicles.

There's a new FF tactics coming to the US in June. I played with the Japanese version and it looks good.

Crystal Chronicles is pretty fun if you like action rpgs, the best thing about it is that it doesn't copy Diablo.

I've heard Magical Starsign is a pretty good game but I've never played it personally.

You could always get the Phoenix Wright series of games, not a RPGs but incredible adventure games.

Is that the one that is equivalent to Final Fantasy 2 for the Super Nintendo ?

Final Fantasy III remake is pretty good, and of course the ff12 one, crystal chronicles, and ffiv remake. outside of that, there is also Dragon Quest, Puzzle Quest, and a few others that are pretty decent.

There are several from what I've seen. I just got a DS recently also.
Some others i can remember off the top of my head are:

Luminous Arc
Children of Mana
Lost Magic
Lunar: Dragon Song (i think thats what its called)

Can't verify how good they are though.

Yes there is Dragon Quest Rocket Slime which is a different kind of RPG but it's still a fun game and then there is Dragon Quest Monsters Joker which is a Pokemon-type of game set in the world of DQ with full 3D graphics, it's also a pretty impressive game and even though it's better presented than Pokemon, it's not as deep.

Yes. The GBA version will be pretty much identical graphically, the DS remake I believe has the same 3D graphics as Final Fantasy III for DS (which is Final Fantasy III from JAPAN, not US)

As in just about any thread like this I'm going to suggest the two DS Castlevania games: Dawn of Sorrow and Portrait of Ruin. Neither are RPGs, but they do have some RPG elements. They are side-scrolling action games and they are fantastic.

I didn't know there were those other two Castlevania games. I however did pick up Castlevania Circle Of The Moon. :)

And I will be getting the new Final Fantasy IV remake. As I loved Final Fantasy 2 for SNES.

I would not recommend the Mana games for DS. Secret of Mana (SNES) and Legend Of Mana (PS1) were great games, but the two Mana games on DS are terrible. :(

If you like Circle of the Moon try to find the two DS Castlevanias. IMO, they are better than the GBA Castlevania games... which are pretty good themselves.

i'm playing Portrait of Ruin and its fun. The bosses are damn hard though. I loved Symphony of the Night or whatever that one that was on the PS1 was and this one a lot like it. I hope Dawn of Sorrow is the same way.

Puzzle quest is puzzle fighting with strong RPG elements. After being a tremendous hit, it went on to be big in XBOX and PC as well.

I was just going to suggest this game too. I've been playing it for about a week or so. I still think the computer cheats.

Luminous Arc is ok, but there really isn't much depth to the battles.

Lunar: Dragon Song is nothing like the other Lunar games, save the character designs. The battle system is mediocre at best, you can't even choose your target.
