Without nerds/geeks, there would be no internet. (no online pron, no email, no forums...)
Without nerds/geeks, much of technology and communications would be much further behind it's current state. No cell phones.... No VOIP.
Without nerds/geeks, so much wouldn't exist that has made our lives easier.

So, how about a day where you give nerds/geeks gifts of computer hardware, star wars / trek toys, pocket protectors, and maybe even a kiss ("if ur like uber 1337 hot female OMG!!!").

The day could be April 2nd. 42.

I would be a god, you should have seen the look on that chicks face when i walked in decked out with my belt clip that had my PDA and MP3 player on it (both HUGE) with my "Resistance is Futile, if < 1 ohm" shirt on and asked if they had Everquest subscription cards for sale.
 
Geeks are different then nerds. Nerds don't necessarily have to be smart or techie, it simply meants that they have no social relationship or can't interact with any other human being. Geeks are people that are tech savvya and usually smart in math and technology. All modern technology was created by geeks then taken over by business men.
