right now they're catering to the high end.. but my x800pro handles everything i throw at it.. picked it up for 170 (agp card)

What a stupid post. Obviously I'm complaining, obviously I don't like how they do it. Also alot of you said how you have to pay for performance- I'm all for that, of course if you want supercharged performance you should pay extra, but my point is how even if you do buy that card and pay top doller, it gets old after a year...

I'm saying if you pay top doller it should stay top doller. Therefore(if we unite) we can say "hell no, if you release that new 3d card were not buying it, let your developers optimize code for another year instead"

Buy the mid range cards that have 80% of the power at 50% of the price, then in a few years do it again. YOu'll have spent what you would have for the high end card, and not notice any reduced performance.

I wish game developers actually put in some innovation, optimize their games, and not releasing beta software as a fnished product.

Yes, the consumer should strike because the consumer keeps purchasing video cards and raising the demand for better cards.
