I got pulled over today for the first time in almost 2 years. Cop caught me in a rush cause I was really, really late for an appointment...

He had me on:

Reckless driving
25 over the posted limit
Improper lane change/no signal use
No proof of insurance
No registration
Current address not updated with DMV
Cracked windshield
Broken rear view mirror

I must have been pulled over by the nicest cop on the face of the planet because he let me go without even a warning ticket!!! Needless to say I quickly learned the error in my ways and went back to religiously driving the speed limit like I've been doing for the past two years...

So the reason for this post was to ask, what?s the worst thing you have been caught doing and let off the hook for?

One time I posed as a cop and pulled all these people over... half of them I let go without so much as a warning ticket; the other half I gutted with a meat cleaver and threw in their own trunk.

Can you believe some people called me the nicest cop on the face of the planet?

I got pulled over for speeding one night, and I knew it was BS. It was 2 am on a stretch of highway that I knew was always crawling with cops, so I was doing something like 63 mph.

So this young cop pulles me over (on my bike) and he does the usual "Do you know why I stopped you?" thing, and I say "No clue" and he says "I clocked you doing 72" and I say "Where?" and he says "Back there at 28" and I say "listen, I've been pulled over... A LOT - and I have Never, Ever told a cop that I wasn't going as fast as he said I was, but I am telling you, right now, that I was not going as fast you say I was."

He gave me a warning.

Oh man. I was going 77 in a 35, while it was raining at night. I hit this intersection (Read: HIT THIS INTERSECTION) that the road intersecting my road was raise a good 2 ft. I launched my 97 Altima 2 ft in the air and a good 10-15ft far. My head hit the ceiling even though I was buckled up. How do I know how far it was? There was a cop at the intersection on a red light. Lol...He didn't pull me over for a few more blocks (mind you this is 3am) after I saw another cop going the opposite direction and after I thought to myself "Hahahah! Good thing THAT cop didn't see me!" Irony striked and the other cop flashed his lights. Pulled to the side of me cursed the living daylights out of me and told me how he was about to arrest me...but "Lucky for you we just got a burglary IN PROGRESS!" and he and the other cop (who did a U-y) sped off with my jaw still in my lap.

a guy I work with (he moonlights at the same pizza place I do) let a guy off with a warning for the speed... the guy was doing 55 in a 30, expired registration, expired inspection, no seat belt... He explained to me, "I'd have given him a couple tickets, but I had just picked up lunch and wanted to eat it while it was hot. I didn't mention to him that his inspection and registration had expired, he'll either thank his lucky stars and get it taken care of or someone else will catch him."

91 in a 45 (according to him) it was really a 55, and the only reason i was going 90 is because he was tailgating me and I thought he was a drunk. It was 2am and all the bars were closing and I figured it was some psycho tailgating me with his brights. Needless to say..... i got off with a 15 ticket, because he knew he was an ass...

And what car was this in? 1984 ford tempo.

One time right after I got my license back, I was at a party and my friend was too drunk to drive home. I needed to go home anyway, so I offered to drive his car home. I had exactly 2 beers, one when I arrived and one right before I left, and I was there for a little over an hour. On the way back, I didn't see a stop sign and blew right through it, doing 45 in a 25. It was a back road, and the sign was obfusicated partially by a bush.

The car was unregistered, uninsured, and looked like it was about to fall apart. I was so close to the legal limit that if the cop would have tested me again 10 minutes later I probbably would have failed. There was a girl and another friend of mine in the back seat -- the girl was under 21 and visibly intoxicated, and the other friend had weed on him that he left in the car. I was unaware of pretty much everything, except that I was speeding and I had 2 beers, and I was on parole at the time.

I didn't even get a warning.

I think it's right there with yours. Afterall, I was doing 37 over, they could have gotten me for wreckless driving to the point he wanted to take me to jail (he yelled out all the crap he could get me for...the guy was seriously on the top of his lungs screaming at me as if I ate his child.:))

...And all the other tickets you mentioned are mindless $5 tickets (2 fix-it tickets, and 2 tickets for your info which all you do is prove you have that crap within 30 or 90 days (don't remember) and you're set).

Not to mention that I got off from pure luck...not his generosity!

I was caught doing 22; which was good considering that her dad didn't walk in while we were doing 69.

On my 21st birthday I was cruising through town going about 40 in a 25 with the theme from the movie Colors cranked up and passed a cop who did a u-turn. I punched it...

I was speeding
I fled the scene
I was not entirely sober...

They let me go...

Lol...That's a horrible way to start the story. Haha. How'd you get it taken away? DUI?

Nah, underage drinking and then driving on a suspended license. Rinse, lather, repeat.
