Seattle is 75% Democrats, so I wouldn't be too sure of your assertion.

Median household income is closer to 25$ an hour in the US. There are many places (like where I used to live in manhattan beach) where more than 95% of people make higher than 15$ an hour and the average household income is actually closer to $300k a year.



15$ an hour min wage is a great slogan if you want to win the hearts and minds of people who don't vote.
