I pod froze!

Before 2 days my Ipod finished the buttery and turned off today I wanted to turn it on and charged it but nothing happened. So I wated 1 hour nothing, I restarted it, nothing. What should I do??

Take it out of the freezer?

Since Apple likes to charge people for support or even asking for support, I would just return it for a new one if it is under warranty.

If it's not charging any more and just won't turn on then you got the infamous "dead ipod battery". If it turns on but won't do anything, like it's locked up, then there are formatting utilities to fix it.

also...."buttery", haha

It initally sounds like a dead battery. Do you know how old it is?

also...buttery....again, haha

ha, thats what you get from buying crap. but yeah, try switching off the hold button? but honestly, why does the hold button prevent you from turning it on?

Thats what the hold buttons designed to do.

My 4g Ipod used to freeze up until it got a firmware upgrade. I used a combination of buttons to reset it, if thats a 5g you have there will most likely be a combination of buttons you press/hold to reset the thing.

Leave it alone for at least 24 hours. My mini did something similar, and when I finally got around to going to the Apple Store the fvcker turned on like there was never a problem. The Apple gal said it was something that they see 20 times a day. The battery got in a wierd state, and need to be drained before it could be powered on or charged.

Listen to this person.....I have the Ipod 20gb and it did the same thing. It suddenly died on me. It wouldnt turn on, nor would it charge when plugged. So of course i was mad and banged it all over the place and junk since i was pissed off haha. Anyway, i just left it alone for like a couple of days actually looking for another mp3 player. One day, i just plugged it in just for the heck of it and lo and behold, it started charging again. So it's currently working now. When my Ipod died it was like over a year old too. So i would think that the same thing is happening to your ipod. But then again, i guess it could very well be that the battery literally died. I hope your ipod decides to wake up though.
