when i quit my job in dec/jan, i'd have 1 year of full time experience under my belt (1.5 if you count my internship)...

how many weeks/months in advance is a good time to start submitting resumes if I plan to leave 2-3 months from now?

I don't want to be in the situation where I submit a resume tomorrow, and I have to tell my boss I have to leave in mid october, i still have some responsbilities/projects i want to finish up...thanks.

well, my last job change took 2 months to complete, and the company that I am working for called me. I didn't even submit a resume, they found me and it still took that long. it will be different with every company, but considering it is almost october, I would start no later then nov. 1st.

yeah i can see the sense of urgency... after all it's my career... i might start submitting this weekend after i do some further refining of my resume

Should've already started submitting it, just to be on the safe side. Some people can take 6-8 months to find a job, and it can take longer than a year.
