I picked up a most excellent pair of casual shoes today

That's a casual shoe? Looks like a low-quarter sneaker to me.

They look nice. Though I'm postive they are lacking in any decent support.

As I get older I realize I have to get shoes with better arch support etc.

Well, I'll wear them to the pub, and basically for anything else that requires closed in shoes, but isn't worth wearing boots

I don't usually wear shoes casually (ie. outside work, where i'm currently wearing a sharp pair of square-toed black leather eccos), just stick a pair of thongs on when I can...

it doesn't look too bad.

I'll measure later, but I have incredibly broad feet as a result of growing up going barefoot and wearing thongs all the time, and they're extremely comfortable for me (I do have to take a US 11 when my feet probably aren't more than a US 10 in length tho)...

They might not be sold there, because they're quite an old style now (styled by the Hobgoods, the name should be familiar if you surf :))...

Shoe - no
Trainer/Sneaker - yes :)

Not my style, but I'll appreciate everyone has their unique taste. ;)
