Yowzas... thats a big monitor, they don't usually sell those to consumers do they? Never saw advertisements to the general public for these behemoths...

codeyf,

all it says in terms of input is:

Connector(s) Required 1 x display / video - VGA / VBE / 15 pin HD D-Sub (HD-15) - female - 1

is that a regular vga connection?

i had to read the page twice too..im still half asleep at work also. *yawn*

Is it flat screen? The extended warranty looks kind of expensive, and I wonder who refurbished it. Maybe the best thing to do is buy with a good credit card that offers the extended warranty.

You got a pretty good deal - one drawback is that the monitor you got doesn't have a flat tube and is probably pretty old.

EDIT: Was it $600 shipped?

This Monitor uses the same tube as the Sony gdm-w900 ..........wow I wish these were around locally, I could never buy a used monitor off the internet.

That's not correct, as far as I'm aware. This monitor doesn't have a flat tube, whereas the FW900 does.

Yes it is correct:

"The Dell UltraScan P1690 24-inch (22.5 VIS) Trinitron Monitor is a monitor built for the customer who demands the ultimate in screen detail. This monitor delivers a large picture area that allows you to increase productivity. The P1690 was built with for the person who runs intensive applications such as CAD/CAM. 3D design, animation, or financial modeling. You run serious applications so why settle for an inferior monitor? With a 16:10 aspect ratio, graphic designers and desktop publishers will appreciate being able to view two 8 1/2 x 11 inch pages at full size. The Dell P1690 uses Trinitron technology which produces a sharper focus giving you a brighter picture and text that is easier to read. You also get more control over the monitor adjustment features so you can guarantee the best performance from the P1690. This Monitor uses the same tube as the Sony gdm-w900 "

On the inputs, it must have something else since it says it's "HDTV Ready"
