I picked oranges and tangerines today

We're in CA to visit my husband's family, my FIL was telling me all about the fruit trees they're growing and I got to pick fruit,lol, picking fruit in Jan! The oranges are the size of softballs,his tangerines are proably the sweetest I've ever tasted.

I love California! 🙂

Oh that is NICE! i cannot imagine how wonderful fresh citrus tastes still warm from the sun, right of the tree!

they actually spray water on the fruits to form a layer of ice around the fruit which actually keeps the fruit warmer b/c of the ice forming creating heat.. or something along those lines

I'll post pics when I get home.I'm on vacation and planned a couple days off so when I get home I can unwind from the trip.Tomorrow we're going to some old gold mining town.Today hubby and I went on a hike,saw a white crane and red tailed hawk.

Being able to just step into the yard and pick fruit is totally mind blowing in it's coolness 🙂

My mother in law is making sure I have plenty to bring home🙂 The tangerines are soo tasty! She also makes lemon merigue pie that's out of this world,uses lemons that h\grow in the yard 😛

I don't get spoiled on vacation at all 🙂

haha, i forget that red is from CA, so he knows. We've had a freeze warning here for the last couple days....so things are a little bit frozen. Still good tho
