I Paid Off My Car Loan and They Sent Me The Wrong Title

Well I paid off my car. They sent my paperwork to the wrong address. After a few months I got my paperwork and I noticed that I have the wrong title. The title is for a different car actually.

Anyway anytime i try to call them i talked to some foreign call center. Its annoying. Has anyone experienced this.

Sad thing is i was going to sell my car and now i cant.

If they sent you the title for a sweet car, I'd just keep it

2. Get the title to a Mercedes SL600.
3. Track down and re-posess said Mercedes.

Doesn't the DMV issue the title and not the bank? Not necessarily the bank's fault if the name is right, but the car is wrong.

Still doesn't excuse them for not sending it to the right place...unless of course the OP didn't change his address with the bank.

ah...my bad. i misread it originally, thinking it said he had gotten the title a few months ago and just noticed it was wrong.

IIRC the bank holds the title until it is paid off.
