I have a relatively new (about a month old) 1.5 TB Seagate hard drive that is giving me I/O Errors. The drive is a storage-only drive (not the one my OS is on) The errors don't occur for everything on the drive, but do occur for the same things repeatedly. Examples are:
-dragging a folder to the desktop (to copy it to my C drive)
-downloading a file to a folder from a downloading program
-scanning the drive for music files by MediaMonkey
Here are my other system specs:
Vista Ultimate 32-bit SP2
Athlon 64 X2 5000+
ASUS A2N32-SLI Deluxe
2GB Kensington RAM
Antec P180
eVGA 7800GT
WD Raptor 150GB
2x WD 500GB
2x Seagate 1.5TB (the other drive hasn't given any problems)
I have of course tried restarting, defragging, and scanning for viruses already.
