Haha. Thanks, I guess ;-). I'm still a drink away from returning to that though. Just can't even have one. That's the thing with us alcoholics; we can't stop drinking once we start (you may be able to do it a few times, but not consistently). It's always "more, more, more" even if you're already feeling good/high (this is true for any drug/addiction).
I've never been there. TBH, I have a cabinet stuffed with alcoholic beverages, the harder stuff. I buy wine by the case (Cab Sauv) from Trader Joe (2.5buck Chuck), cases of brew from Costco, but I can go weeks without touching any of it, never give it a thought. I've felt good when drinking but never to the point where I craved more. Never been that way with anything. I literally have bottles of whiskey from Jack Daniels to single malt scotch and others, liqueurs (some home made), brandy, vodkas, tequila, what have you, and some from 20+ years ago, I kid you not. Never feel tempted, occasionally give it a thought and taste a 1/4 of a jigger or such.

My sister doesn't touch it, says alcohol is, in a word, "toxic." It may be partly because her partner was an alcoholic and can't touch it, period. Her former partner was an alcoholic, I heard a horror story or two about some scenes she created.

I'll be offered wine at TG next week, and I'll drink some, but no way more than 2 glasses, if that.

Yep, you're definitely a normal drinker. I wish I could do that, I think that sometimes in the grocery store when passing the beer aisle. Like, "man I wish I could try some of that, try different types of beers." Just can't though; I'd maybe handle it for a few days, at most, and then go straight down the shitter where I'm buying fifths again. No bueno.

Pancreatitis is usually caused by bad food regime. In case of acute pancreatitis you should get a few days of intermittent fasting in with a low protein amount to help the digestive system. plus you should add food supplements to your regime that will help with the digestion
Actually my doctor basically told me to simply shit everyday or so, and consume more fruits and veggies. Now only I can buy Pearled Barley or even scotched Barley in my Town... I'll be set.

Basically I cook Pearl Barley, Brown Rice, and Lentils together with a large can of Keystone Beef or Chicken and onion and I'm set.
