We just had a mojor windstorm here in Acworth Ga. There are trees and powerlines down everywhere here. My wife was out walking the dogs when it moved in. She came inside, and just as she did, 5 trees fell in the back yard. 1 fell right where she was standing, luckily, none hit our home.

Well, I guess what I will be cutting trees rather than posting here next week. I am just glad Michelle made it in before the trees fell.

You might be able to have somebody come & get them, under the condition that they get to keep the wood...

Worth a shot, if you don't have any particular attachment to 5 trees worth of firewood.

Glad to hear nobody got hurt, though, windstorms can suck bad.

Sheesh, it was windy as hell here in New Orleans today too. I was walking around downtown today, and I almost got knocked over by the wind. :Q

Reports are now coming in that wind gusts up to 70 mph have flipped some cars around here. This is crazy.

Holy crap! That's alot worse than here. Be safe!

Interesting that cars are getting flipped, but you still have internet access. Around here, whenever any sort of weather kicks up, down go the phone, power, and cable lines. :Q

EDIT: hehe, after I typed that, there was a power surge. Guess the weather was saying "don't test me." *pats UPS* :)

Actually, I am at work now, and my wife and 2 dogs are at my parents house where if anything happens, she will be safe. HP has a WONDERFUL UPS system, and multiple T3 access

Crazy man i guess i should call my mom since she lives in Acworth as well and she is on the top of a nice big hill. Sounds crazy down there send some of that our way. All we have up here in MD is rain and its like 40 degrees. I would love somthing like a thunderstorm here right about now.

That's awful, Ulfwald. :(

Well, if it is any consolation, my whole county is ready to go up in flames at any moment.

I bet you'll be smelling the Big Barbeque in West Central Fla once the first lightning storm sets off the inevitable fires!

I'm betting the next Big Story will be FL up in flames this spring. :(

Thanks guys, I guess I know whjat I will be doing this week. firing up the Old chainsaw.

Luckily no onw was hurt, and the trees were dead pines, I was just waiting for warmer weather so I could take them down.

Looks like I won't be posting here from Monday on through Thursday of this week.
