I like helping people. I don't like helping people that expect that I help them.

I have a friend that asks too much for the dumbest reasons to help him. He's about over $10k in debt, has 2 jobs just to pay for his NEW CAR (which everyone advised him not to get), the insurance, and rent. He also spends every single dime he earns before his bills get paid. He frequently asks my roommate and I for gas money so he can drive to work. Oh, and his gf lives with him, works, and doesn't pay squat.

He asks us for help, we go no. He rebuts with "I'd help you if you asked me, that's what friends are for". GMAFB. I manage my finances well and will never have to ask friends for money/favors.

Man... this topic really brought out the rant in me :|

I used to have guys pull that sh1t on me all the time. Then I realized, "wait a sec, I dont need help from you. I take damn good care of myself. And even if I found myself in serious trouble, guess what? YOU CANT HELP ME! You're a fvck up and you'll never be in a position to do me any good. FVCK OFF!"

End of Rant.

Yeah, it really blows when people expect you to help. Thankfully my only friend that is terrible with money has rich parents who help him out.

Another thing that bothers me is when people tell me to do something while I am already doing it.

e.g. "Honey can you wash the dishes" while I'm already washing the dishes.
