But I ordered a Christmas present for my Mom on December 10th. It shipped standard UPS, so I gave it about a week to arrive, and it didn't. So I checked the tracking number, and somehow it had gotten delivered in Connecticut  So I contacted the seller, and they shipped out another one via USPS Priority on the 19th, and guaranteed that it would arrive in time for Christmas. It still hadn't come today, so I emailed them again and asked for the tracking number on the second package.

I received this email back:

We show that your sec ond shipment was shipped out but we are unable to locate the tracking number. Obviously, you should have received both packages by now and we are embarssed that we may have made a second mistake with your shipment. We shipped over 1,000 packages in the month of December and yours is the only one we are struggling to finalize. Please accept our apologies for the delay and this ISSUE WILL BE CORRECTED! As of this morning we shipped out a third package, 2nd Day Air through UPS. Your new tracking number is 1ZV4515E0240285380.

:hmm: I say 50% chance that this one actually is delivered to me.

It sucks when a Christmas present gets delayed until after Christmas. Last year, one of the presents I ordered in early December didn't arrive until early February.

3rd party sellers have been fine.

But, the latest one I dealt with was pretty fucking bad; the scum sucking fuck nut sold me a bootleg copy of Mario Kart DS. He posted it as "new" on his site. When I looked through his reviews (after the fact), they all looked like plants. Save for the 3 or so that noted their shit showed up looking like it was used.

Frankly, if their reviews are even lower than 99%, don't even bother.

And to the OP; after reading your post and thinking about it - I'm sorry, but it sounds like you have AIDs.

They seem to be trying hard tho. The presents I ordered in December I only did if amazon was fulfilling because I trust them implicitly and could not risk third party.

We had a couple of presents that I was going to order through Amazon.

When ready to checkout, the shipping status changed to deliver after Xmas.
Walmart.com could not ship to store on time, but was able to ship to house by Sat.

And the items did show, even with a 2 day snow impact.

Extra $25 in shipping charges that I paid vs amazon or Walmart store was well worth it when the little grandson realized what was in the boxes.
