i never knew how bad Blink 182 really was

they werent bad when I first saw them 6 years ago. However, they got MUCH MUCH worse when I was present for their concert about 1.5 years ago working security. Oh man, that was terrible. However, Gwen Stefani is HOT! (she was touring with them)

to tell you the truth, i never liked them live. they toured with No Doubt as a band, not Gwen Stefani btw

They aren't targetting us old 20 somethings. Try listening to Box Car Racer - its a side project done by a few of them. I think the songs are less about girlfriends suck and high school sucks and more relative. They are all awesome at what they do, I can't say they suck because they dont. The band is composed of three guys that really know how to play what they play exceptionally. You cannot find a better drummer than Travis. Mark and Tom are very skilled guitar players as well, but their genre doesn't let you hear the goods.

Listen to their older stuff and you'll see how much fun they have with their talent.

haha. old...20 somethings. geez. you aren't old til you hit 30. trust me. i was 23 tho when "what's my age again?" came out. that was kinda cool.

i guess they aren't getting worse, just different. they changed musical directions to more mainstream friendly and it just isn't the same. i like enema of the state and take off your pants enough, but dude ranch is much better imho. cheshire cat is great as well, toss up between the two as my favorite blink cd. i have a copy of buddha but i never listen to it, not sure why.

I wold not say they are exceptional at whatthey play. teh drummer maybr, but not teh others. The guitarist is actually decent, i can give you that much, but the bassists is meh. It killed me when I found out that Fender was having a bass in that was his own line. How can that guy get his own edition bass and Graham Coxon not have his own edition guitar?

You think they suck on CD? Try seeing them in concert. I went to see Green day a few years ago and they were with blink. WOW..At first I thought that i was just too tired from all the rocking out i did during greenday..what an awesome show...but then I realized that yes..blink 182 does suck that much. Their show had no energy, and their voices suck even more then they sound onthe cd.

i don't think i'll try them in concert.



i did try linkin park in concert (they were touring with metallica). god what a crappy performance. they might as well have just put their CD into the engineer's booth and left.

i really enjoyed limp bizkit in that festival though. fred durst just has presence and showmanship, even if the music sucks.
