That song is actually one of blink's better songs.....Early Blink (before dude ranch) wasn't that bad at all when you compare it to new Blink. Blink's last album was not bad at all though.

Edro has it right, opinions are worth crap. that said, I thought Take off Your Pants and Jacket was terrible and their worst album.

i like that song as well. that one was on dude ranch wasn't it? that was before travis as well.

no idea. My gf has all the albums and I remember hating it alot. Just because its bad though doesn't mean they was not an enjoyable song.

i used to like them..before they got "whiny" but now... i realize that they really are not that great.

They aren't getting worse, we are all just getting older.

They aren't targetting us old 20 somethings. Try listening to Box Car Racer - its a side project done by a few of them. I think the songs are less about girlfriends suck and high school sucks and more relative. They are all awesome at what they do, I can't say they suck because they dont. The band is composed of three guys that really know how to play what they play exceptionally. You cannot find a better drummer than Travis. Mark and Tom are very skilled guitar players as well, but their genre doesn't let you hear the goods.

Listen to their older stuff and you'll see how much fun they have with their talent.

Dude, its a genre of music. You don't like it, then don't listen to it. Sure, it may not fit the standard of music that you listen to, but they are one of the most successful bands of all time (probably in top 15?). I have to tell you though, since they digitally enrich the sound of their music, they are worse live.

top 15?? what is your definition of success?

I am probably wrong on that... maybe top 30? I don't know... but I am pretty sure the top 15 is mostly artists that have been active since the 1960s as back then buying the record was the only way... with today's technological advances, its no suprise that bands don't sell as many albums as they used to ;)

Here's one source:
http://www.xfm.co.uk/Article.asp?id=153173

And they don't even break Top 100. Although this refers to bands who have released British Singles.

And if you want to go by album sales:

http://www.riaa.com/gp/bestsellers/topartists.asp

They're not even there.

That is the UK market. their market is really different (but it is starting to look like ours). That said, I am not really sure how many #1s (if any) Blink 182 actually had.

I wold not say they are exceptional at whatthey play. teh drummer maybr, but not teh others. The guitarist is actually decent, i can give you that much, but the bassists is meh. It killed me when I found out that Fender was having a bass in that was his own line. How can that guy get his own edition bass and Graham Coxon not have his own edition guitar?

That is absurd. By what standard are they one of the 15 most successful bands of all time? As it happens I think they are complete crap, but I don't believe they are one of the 15 most successful bands of all time by any realistic standard.

I guess you weren't interested in the Tom Delonge Strat either. ;)

The worst thing about Blink is that they've influenced other people, on the rare occasion that I flip through Fuse or MTV and stop long enough to listen, I can hear elements of them in a lot of the whiny boring-ass bands that show up on those channels.

haha, yeah that's pretty much the response a lot of guitar players had when that thing came out a few years ago.

I'm a fan of Graham Coxon's playing BTW, he was a big part of why I liked Blur. Last I read, it sounded like they were all but begging him to come back, but he still wasn't interested.

Once upon a time, when I was in high school and dinosaurs roamed the earth, I used to kinda like them. Thankfully, I grew out of it :)

Even so, whenever I hear "adam's song", it always reminds me of grade 11.

yeah, Graham is great. Blur has done surprisingly well without him. think tank was not bad at all. However, the latest claims of the new album making Foo Fighter piss their pants is very, um, awkward. What is even more surprising is that Graham's music is sounding more and more like what Blur was making at the end of the 90's and he claims to want to get away from that yet he still makes music like it. While he sounds good as a solo artist, I think it is kind of bland and boring at the same time.

I think their new stuff sucks. They went got all political and depressing. I really really like everything from Enema of the state and earlier.
