Halibut filet, rub some seasoned salt on both sides, and cook in a pan with 3 tbsp olive oil. 10 minutes each side, and it tastes awesome. I recommend it.

two inches thick. I used pretty low heat; I don't really know what I'm doing but it turned out pretty good.

As long as you enjoyed it, I guess that's all that counts KingGheedora. Did you have any sides w/ it out of curiosity?

When you're cooking fish like that, just heat it until it turns flakey.

Ever since I visited Alaska and had fresh halibut, all other fish just pales in comparison.

While I definitely love halibut, *real* sockeye salmon is just as good, maybe better. Darn shame they've both been nearly "fished" out. 3-4 weeks per year "in season" sucks.

Yup, that's the only way to do it right.

so you had halibut for the halibut? HA!

anyway, haven't cooked that before, but I generally rule of thumb is want a hot hot pan and cook the fish for a shorter amount of time. Again, never cooked halibut but glad it worked out alright.
