Sure did. Shaved off about 150 miles without adding on any extra time. Going through the west side of Wichita at 5:00 PM sucked, but not having to hit OKC made it worth it.

Just F.Y.I...Texahoma smells like moldy cow sh!t and decaying flesh. Holy hell that place was vile.

just be glad you dont live there 😛

btw how are you handling the heat? 😀

Freeway/highway miles are the easiest kinds of mile on your engine oil. That is if you aren't stuck in traffic. 3000 miles is not much stress at all for todays conventional dino oils, especially if they are highway miles.

But yeah, thats a lot of driving regardless in one week. Most miles I've done in one day is about 900 miles, with appropiate breaks of course.

Ain't that the truth. I've driven through that cess pool three times now...i'd prefer to never do it again.

I did 1.2 in a day when my brother was visiting a friend in NC (I'm in OH). He lost one of his contacts the night before he was supposed to leave. He can't drive without them. His contacts are disposable, and I had to take a replacement set down to him at 7PM, slept for a few hours when I got there and then drove back home.

Not fun. Oh well. I didn't have to pay for my gas then, so it could have been worse.

dang thats a lot of driving... i would change the oil anyway... differant temp zones, high speeds for extened periods of time - that all puts wear on your motor... trust me, its better in the long run to do an oil change now then wait

You can stretch that 3,000 mile figure to 5,000 if you wish, highway driving does not constitute "abnormal" driving conditions as does stop and go driving, driving in dusty areas and excessive idling.

Thought you said you needed an oil change? Looks like you have about 2500 more miles to go... Welcome to the 90s.
