I have a friend asking me to buy/build a system for her, with a budget of $1500 canadian ($1000 US). It's not for gaming, so I don't need a geforce.. 🙂 . It must have monitor and printer included. NO cel or duron. AMD or Intel???

whoever lives in Toronto area, can you tell me which is the best bargain store?

Check AnandTech's Buyer's Guide: Value Systems - August 2000. Just substitute AMD Thunderbird for Duron in their recommendations. I think the Intel chips will be a little too expensive for your tight budget.

Most folks get speakers to go with their sound card. 🙂
