I'm just about ready to order my new setup. Which will consist of a Barton 2500+, and Abit NF7-S V2.0 and I'm having trouble deciding on memory. I want to be able to do 11x200 so I'm thinking atleast PC3200 memory. Here is which ones I'm thinking of. Which is better? Also which has a better chance to hit past 200?

Kingston HyperX Series Dual Kits 184 Pin 512MB(256MBx2) DDR PC-3200

Price: $131

Corsair XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series, (Twin Pack) 184 Pin 512MB(256MBx2) DDR PC-3200 - Retail

Price: $115

Is it really worth the extra money for the HyperX??? Thanks

No, it's not really worth the extra money for the HyperX. Both of those are the best available, besides Mushkin Black level 2, which is $71 per 256MB stick on newegg. You are more than likely gonna have to run whatever memory you buy at either 2-3-3-11, or even 2.5-3-3-11, especially if you run it in dual-channel mode.

I have a power supply that I've been using for like 3 to 4 years now. It seems to work ok and was AMD approved 300W then. I'm curious as to know if I should get a new powersupply before I even hook up my new parts or if it's ok to run it on the old power supply for a little while? I don't have a lot of money so I don't want to get a power supply if I don't have to.

Try your old one first. If your system runs stable, then you're ok.

I am running the same RAM you listed: Corsair XMS (2*256) CAS2. No probs - I love it. I have heard of some compatibility issues with the HyperX, which is why I avoided it, but I guess it's up to you.
